Youth Pastor & Disability Outreach Director


As the Youth Pastor, Scott oversees our junior high, high school, & college/career ministries & the volunteer leadership teams within those ministries. His vision for our students & young adults is to provide a place where they can learn truth, grow in their faith, & honor God with their lives as the follow Christ. These ministries have a wide array of discipleship groups, outreach events, & weekly programs. His background in philosophy & ethics help him to communicate.

The disability Outreach department: Special Ministries is a non-profit Christian based organization that has been serving the disabled community for over 25 years. This outreach comprises of both developmentally & physically disabled youth & adults. Their goal is to minister to the spiritual & physical needs of disabled persons through many different social activities ranging from Sunday school to quality camping experiences.

Scott has attended Hope Chapel since he was in junior high & has been on staff since 1997. He earned his B.A. degree in Religious Studies, with a double emphasis in Pastoral Leadership & Youth Ministries from Vanguard University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Ethics from Biola University: Talbot Theological Seminary. His appetite for biblical knowledge & studies in philosophy & ethics help him to communicate God’s word effectively & understand issues that relate to teens today.

He and his wife, Louise, both grew up in the South bay and now reside in Carson, CA. His spiritual gifts include service, teaching, leadership, & administration. He is a self-proclaimed master of miscellaneous sports & games like ping-pong, plane-less parachuting, wiffel ball, badminton, & bowling. In the real world he enjoys outdoor sports like running, hiking & rock-climbing, ghetto-bird watching, and playing the back row in volleyball.
