Disc Maturity

From Self to Servant: A Life of Faith in becoming Like Christ. Jesus said in Luke 9:23 & 24, “Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” Only a movement away from self and an emulating of Christ, i.e., Christ-like-ness, will enable the maturity God desires.

This six-week class will help you take the “next step” in the process of maturing in Christ and equip you with the vital habits Christians need to help them grow and become useful for God. You will be challenged in your understanding of God and how only a deep, intimate relationship with Him will satisfy you.

A series of biblical truths are laid out for meditation, study, and development. The application of these truths is crucial to your relationship with God and living a life that is pleasing to Him. Questions such as “What does a servant look like?” to “What is God’s will for your life?” to “Why is application of God’s Word to my life so important? and many more will be answered during this class. Come prepared to be open and honest as the Lord opens His Word to you and build’s up your maturity in Christ.

"Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgement. And God permitting, we will do so."

Hebrews 6:1-3 NIV
